Stainless extra low carbon superalloyed 23Cr 13Ni 2.3Mo (309 MoL) rutile type tube electrode. Shield-Bright 309LMo X-tra is intended for butt welding of stainless steels against unalloyed and some low-alloyed steels and for welding on unalloyed steels where an ''acid-proof'' corrosion-resistant surface layer is desired. The alloy type is also suitable for welding buffer layers and bottom strings in so-called acid-resistant compound material. Shield-Bright 309LMo X-tra welds with a stable and calm arc, which gives an even and smooth bead surface and often self-dissolving slag. Reported typical values ??are when using Ar+20%CO2 (M21)

DW-309MoL is a rutile flux-filled wire that provides a very stable, spatter-free arc and produces a shiny, smooth weld bead with self-releasing slag. This wire deposits low carbon weld metal with approximately 23% chromium, 13% nickel and 2.3% molybdenum. It is designed for welding stainless steel to mild or low alloy steel. The wire is also suitable for first layer welding on mild or low alloy steel before overlaying with DW-316L/LP or DW-317L.
